About home visits

Who home visits are for

Getting to a clinic can be hard. Maybe you no longer drive, or you live in aged care.

If that sounds like you, or your mum or dad, we're happy to come to you.

Wherever possible, you'll see the same audiologist each visit. Our team isn't paid commission.

We have no ties to any hearing aid maker, and there's no pressure to decide on the day.

If you have sudden hearing loss, ear pain, fluid from your ear or sudden dizziness, see your GP or go to an emergency department today.

How it works

How to arrange a home visit

It starts with one phone call.

  1. 01

    Give us a call

Call 03 9521 6118 and tell Eva or Sara a little about you, or the person you're calling for.

  2. 02

    We talk it through

We'll talk through what we can do at home, and explain any costs and funding before booking.

  3. 03

    We find a time

We'll find a time that suits you. In aged care, we fit in with the home's routine.

  4. 04

    Your audiologist visits you

Your audiologist comes to you. They'll listen, take their time and explain each step.

  5. 05

    The choice is yours

We'll explain the results and what may help. Sometimes that's hearing aids, sometimes nothing is needed yet.

  6. 06

    What happens after that

If you try hearing aids, we'll check in one to two weeks later. There's no follow-up fee.

Home visit questions

Questions about home visits

Is there a fee for home visits?

No. Home visits are free. We'll let you know about any other costs before anything is booked.

Who can ask for a home visit?

Anyone who finds it hard to get to a clinic. Maybe you no longer drive, or walking is harder now. Just let us know.

Can you visit an aged care home?

Yes, we're happy to. When you call, please tell us the name of the home. We'll arrange a time that fits the home's routine.

What can you do at my home?

It depends on what you need. Call us and we'll explain what we can do at home, and what still needs a clinic visit.

Which areas do you cover for visits?

The easiest way to find out is to call. Tell Eva or Sara where you live. They'll let you know if we can come to you.

Can I arrange this for a parent?

Yes, you're welcome to call for someone else. Tell us what you've noticed and we'll take it from there. You can sit in too.
